early on a Sunday...........

*I wrote this last Sunday at another site, I thought I'd post it here as well.*

Good morning ladies and gentlemen, I hope all is well with you. Winter is upon us once again. I suppose I should take my one remaining Yucca plant outside, back indoors with the rest. For a plant of warmer climate, it can sure take a beating. If interested in this beneficial plant, here are a couple of sites to check.......

I'll be cleaning and rearranging a little more today, trying to make this little place more livable. I miss the house I once had. I miss being on top of the world, although, at the time I didn't realize that I was. Maybe that's a note for another time. But I'll say this, looking back, present and to the future, pleasant or not, good decisions and bad,....it all fits together. Like an interdimensional puzzle, which isn't just one puzzle but an infinite. And each puzzle is another piece to and even greater puzzle. Which in the 'end', never ends buts transforms. Reusing the same or similar pieces that are altered, with time, and not with time. Every piece is delicate, and changes to 'fit', which then alters the pieces ahead of it. Or does it? How would you know? Maybe Deja Vu isn't just a coincidence, or a similar memory in the brain altered to fit the moment making you think you've been in the moment before (deja vu happens in cycles for me, there's a period of time with nothing, then a period of time with frequent 'memories'). Maybe it tells you that you've been in/'put together' this 'puzzle' before. In a puzzle that gets put back together over and over again, slightly altered, in a 'time frame' (or dimensional existence, for lack of a better term.) that you cannot possibly comprehend. No, actually think of it this way maybe, you have a giant block of whatever, and you are moving it 'forward' by rolling it on logs. Therefore, of course, you take the last log rolled over and put it at the front (this being a weak metaphor for 'the puzzle', but hopefully you can see what I'm saying. Taking the pieces from the 'past' and 'fitting' them into the 'future' over the incomprehensible time, which isn't linear). If you can't tell, I'm in favour of the 'big bang' theory. Maybe it all does happen for a reason, and I've learned that 'universal' Karma is quite a powerful, subtle force. But there is ......

wow, this note went in a completely different direction I had originally intended. I think I'll stop now, unfortunately, this isn't even the tip of the iceberg of what's in the bone box (my head). I tend to think too much sometimes, or maybe I am crazy, or maybe I need another coffee. Or more sleep..........

Thanks for dropping in, carry on ladies and gentlemen, and be careful out there.

It's snowing outside.

Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.

To my readers, past and present.........

I know some times I can be a little harsh and blunt, for this I don't apologies. However I do apologise to those whom I may have upset. My greatest pet peeve is ignorance. If I see something that isn't quite right, I'm one to let you know. I've always had a sense to protect/stand for children, animals and the innocent. And I've been told that sometimes I tend to lecture, that's when I have something to say that is. Usually I'm quiet, listening. My views aren't always accepted, since I'm not a huge fan of humanity, from what I've seen. There is good out there, but ignorance outweighs it by far. I feel that if I help at least one person, or what have you, I've done what I'm meant to do. If not, at least I can say I've tried, one way or another. And if I'm hated for it, c'est la vie. I used to volunteer every month as an art instructor for 'Arts & Soul', a group for people dealing with mental disabilities/issues, which I really should get back into. Currently I have a part time gig with the Federation for Cerebral Palsy. I know there are rude/self absorbed people out there, but I was shocked at how many there really are. I'm also currently figuring out how the sales of any of my work could benefit a cause, which cause I'm not sure yet, or how many.

So, if I've upset you with my berating ways towards ignorance and the selfish uncaring of society, I apologise. However, I will not stop. Maybe just not say as much.

Be careful out there ladies and gentlemen.

Change in the air?

Now that the U.S. has made the historic vote for change, what will come of it? After listening to the man's speech I must say I am impressed. However, be he black, white, green or plaid, he is still undoubtedly a politician. No matter whom he may be, a president does not make all of his decisions on his own. Will there be change? If so, will it be for the better? We all hope so. It seems Canadians had more interest in the U.S. presidential election than our own, having a pathetic turn out not that long ago. Most likely due to the fact that Canada has yet to have a powerful, inspirational leader, from any party. Nor is there likely to ever be one. And why is that? Because we are the Igor to the American Dracula. The YES man. No matter that we are the largest country in the world (or second largest), and have the ability to be self reliant with our many resources. We still kiss the U.S. ass. And why is that? I'd say it's from many years of leadership with barely a ball in the sack. Canada always follows, and never leads. Most things that are "American", are actually Canadian. America is like the bully that steals things from you and makes it his own, and justifies it. America lies to it's people with false stories of historical pride, with fake glory and glitter. America kicks it's own people in the ass, yet like puppies they still follow. Although, doesn't every country do that really? But now, there seems to be a possibility for change. Unfortunately, anyone trying to drastically change things for the better, usually gets themselves killed. Let's hope that history doesn't repeat itself yet again. Well my friends, hopefully one day we will have the opportunity to vote for such a leader for our country, and be proud to stand for our President. Excuse me, I mean Prime Minister.

carry on ladies and gentlemen, carry on.

Be careful out there.

Today's rant...........

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I hope all is well with you all. Today's rant is about..........well, let's see where it takes us today.

Hmm. Well, the public school I went to as a child for grades K-5, I recently heard was closing down due to lack of enrolment. This stuns me, are the children in the area just not going to school anymore, or are there no children left to teach. I know for a fact that there are children of this age range in the catchment area. So, wtf? I've noticed that the school isn't looking so good anymore, does no one look after it, does no one really care? I've visited a few facebook groups regarding this school, looking for information, and most of (if not all) of the wall postings on these groups come from kids/people that apparently NEED to go back to, or stay in, school. They either can't spell or use appropriate grammar worth a shit (not saying that I always do, but come on). The 'now teens and older' leave notes trying to sound cool with today's pathetic slang lingo, I'm not a huge fan of slang but don't get me wrong, I will occasionally use it. And the females leaving notes about all the naughty little things they've done in any certain area. I can see the sad future of these little whores, and the males are even worse. So over all, I wouldn't say the school is being closed down due to lack of enrollment. I'd say it's due to ignorance. Of course I blame the government and western society for most of this, and the fact that 'parents' of these children haven't grown up yet themselves. But that's a rant for another time. Yet, here's something for you, we went to the park the other day with the little one. This group of 3 or 4 teen girls show up, one with her young sister. I guess the age at about 3. This teen girl let her little sister out of the stroller, put her on the swing for a brief moment, then took her off the swing and proceeded to swing on it herself. At which point the toddler wandered off to another area of the large playground. This teen sister and her friends all sat on the swings, swinging and swearing, singing and laughing. Not paying ANY attention to the youngster at all. Whom at this time, was out of her sisters sight. Not to worry at this point though, we were keeping and eye on the whole situation, even our little one was keeping watch. As well as a couple other 'adult' parents with their children. It also turns out, that these girls also had arranged a 'hook up' with some boys and other friends who showed up moments later. The teen 'sister' was now totally oblivious as to what her younger 3 year old sister was up to. Didn't even look. It seemed as if she had forgotten about her altogether. And was still out of sight. We all kept an eye on her, watched her play , etc...About an hour later some kids had left, and we were about to leave as well, when we noticed that the toddler was on her way over to the bridge that crosses the little brook/river that runs along side the playground, and the length of the park. As we went to re-route her back to the swings, and her useless sister, at that moment she decided to not go on the bridge, but head down to the rivers edge. Which at this time, is fast water. Sara managed to distract her from the waters edge and send her in the direction of her sister. Some choice words were said to the teen and we then left the park.

What do you do? We both said that if we knew the teens, we would do more, even call the parents if needed. But where do you draw the line of politely caring for youth, and intervening in another's life? Dictating to them what you think they should be doing. And what kind of parent would let their, obviously inattentive, teen girl take her little 3 year old sister out to the park with her teen friends. I can't say for sure. But I see the teens today, are less respectful, less responsible for their actions. And tend to hide under the umbrella of the ever popular 'Attention Deficit Disorder' issue. Which, don't get me wrong, is a real issue for those that actually have it (I question myself at times), but is commonly miss diagnosed. None the less, what are the individuals now involved in this situation (the park) supposed to think of themselves? What if something happens to that little girl while we went on to our various lives, even after speaking with the teen? Some, including myself, would start to think 'what if I were there just a little longer, to prevent whatever happened?' Even though it wouldn't be any-one's responsibility but the teens, that thought would haunt you for the rest of your life. In various ways depending on your personality. And, are you obligated to be responsible in a situation like that, when the individual who is supposed to be isn't? Taking a child anywhere and not watching them is a selfish act, it then shifts the moral responsibility to others, and interferes in their lives. Not only does it put the child at risk, it puts others at risk.

That's enough for now, I'm irritated. Maybe I'll write more later.

Look after each other out there ladies and gentlemen, especially youth, animals and the Earth. Please, Don't be ignorant.

Carry on ladies and gentlemen, carry on...........
